The Giardino degli Angeli sits in a strategic locaion if you want to visit the Cinque Terre, Portovenere and its Poets Gulf (Golfo dei Poeti), Portofino and Tigullio region, Genoa and all Levante Riviera densely spotted with charming villages, the inland with Val di Vara and Varese Ligure. Sea and land landscapes offering many opportunities for trekkers, horse-riders, Mountain-bikers, inbetween flowers, scented herbs, important archeological and geological sites, history, art and architecture.
Framura, the Pearl of Levante Ligure, is worth an accurate visit: 5 small villages descending from the mountains to the sea, where history, culture and natural landscape melt harmonically.
Sweet terraces with grapes and olives kissed by the sun give these villages their picturesque looks down to the seaside.
A wonderful bicycle path leads from Framura to Levanto across Bonassola, and bicyles are available for rent at Framura port.
And the sea, of course, crystal clear, bordered by narrow bays and wild and untouched cliffs, but also beaches with bathhouses, a Diving Center and many restaurants, taverns and bakeries there to welcome you and give you a taste of the superb ligurian cuisine and enjoy teh delicate red and white wines.
By car:
from any direction take the Genova - Livorno motorway to Deiva Marina exit (Giardino degli Angeli is just 5 km from the exit); follow Levanto, Bonassola, Framura for 3 km up to Piazza where you will get to a fork: go left (direction: Framura) for another 2 km to Framura sign; from the sign enter Castagnola, Framura fraction, ahead for 300 meters then turn left (second road on the left since meeting Framura sing) and go on until you reach the entrance to Giardino degli Anegli.
By train:
the closest station is Deiva Marina on Genova - La Spezia railroad; only local and regional trains stop there; Giardino degli Angeli is 7 km from the station and there's always somebody to pick you up or take you back to the station.
Public transport (buses): ATC buses run from Framura station to all villages of Framura and Giardino degli Angeli (tickets are sold in the train station or on board with a small charge).
By plane:
the nearest airport is Genoa's (60 km), but Pisa's (100 km) can be an option; from here take a train to Deiva Marina.
By boat:
Genoa (60 km) and Livorno (110 km) are the nearest ports; from here take a train to Deiva Marina.
